Another beer of the month club beers. 12 oz. Bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a thick off white head with sticky lacing. Sweet malt and floral hops in the nose. Nice malt profile with floral and citrus notes and a balanced bitterness. Very drinkable and well made beer.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours amber\copper with a decent sized off-white head. Aroma of citrus, sweet malts, and hops. Flavor is sweet upfront, citrusy, and a solid bitter hoppy finish (but balanced well). Good body, good brew.

Not a great pale ale fan here, but this one was decent (to me, they’re a dime a dozen and everyone and their brother makes ’em). Poured a dark orange-copper color with a substantial head that died out half way through drinking. Lacing lasted throughout. Definitely a sweet base taste with citrus (orange?) and caramel malts coming through. The hops weren’t ridiculous and were balanced fairly well. Not a bad pale ale.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 VAYankee (267) - Virginia, USA - APR 28, 2006
Clear, red/amber body with a cream colored head. Aroma: sweet malt, floral hops. Flavor starts with solid hop bitterness and a decent malt backbone(caramel). Mild dry finish - lightly bitter and a touch metallic.

Bottle. I used to have it on tap in DC a lot but never took notes until now. So here it goes:Aggressively hopped beer that pours amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is floral and fruity dominated by hops. Flavor is hoppy with a malts thrown in for balance. However this is more of an IPA than a Pale Ale. fairly bitter finish that is lasting.
Alcohol flavors are fairly pronounced making this less balanced overall than it could be.

Bottle. Beer of the month. Pours a deep copper, almost amber, but not quite. Very clear, ~<1" head that went away quickly leaving a layer of foam. Sweet malt and florally almost fruity hop aroma. Taste is OK. Starts off good with a malty sweetness / hints of caramel up front, but becomes rather bitter with an odd, almost cardboardy or stale finish, hard for me to describe. Medium mouthfeel with a sort of high level of carbonation. OK, would not buy if I saw it at the store. Many better Pale ales out there.

Inviting aroma of flowery hops. The beer looks great in the glass. The flavor has a slightly sweet nose that is balanced by bitterness on the finish. Nice aftertaste as well. What a great beer; this is one of the best pale ales I’ve had in a while.

lemony hops up front, a little caramel malt. Quite bitter - some citrus, grass. Dusty toasty malt. Meh.
