Dominion Stout is a flavorful, creamy dark beer that is brewed in the style of an Irish cream stout. The complex flavor is mellow and well balanced.

This beer was discontinued and replaced by the Oak Barrel Stout in early 2004.

On tap at brewery. Opaque black brown under a medium size lasting pale tan head. Rich roasted malt and brewed coffee aroma. Medium large mouth filling body. Medium bitter lightly sweet roasted malt flavours. Softish smooth dry finish. Interestingly, other raters appear to have found this one thinner and more porter like than I did. Batch differences?

Dark brown body with a barely existent tan head. Mild aroma of coffee, a little chocolate, nice maltiness. Flavor is mainly a muted dry roasted malt, very lightly sweet. Aftertaste is roasted malt meeting a bit of pale ale tanginess. Seems a bit thin for a stout.

Cola colored with minimal off-white head. Aroma is light sweet, nutty, some roasty. Taste is light sweet, some cola, nutty. Medium body. Almost a porter in characteristics.

Thanks to jeffc666 for this one! Not sure why it took me so long to rate this since I've seen it a million times but just never bought it. Pours black with a small brown head. Nose is coffee, hops, and cocoa. The taste is more coffee and chocolate with some roasted malt and burnt wood. Finish has some bitterness and a slight oily feel to it. Very nice beer. A little thin on the palate but still good. F

Deep black pour with not much of a head. Faint aroma of coffee and chocolate. Kind of watered down, which isn't too bad if you like fainter stouts. Roasted malt and chocolate. Pretty good, but I like thicker stouts. Not bad for Dominion though.

Average stout. Nothing wrong but nothing stands out. Average aroma and taste. A numbers beer.

Bottle. Deep brown color with a laced tan head. A fine roasted malt aroma. Creamy, slightly tanic, coffee, and ultimately malty. Thanks to hopscotch for the trade.
