Not sure why it took me so long to rate this since I've seen it a million times but just never bought it. Pours black with a small brown head. Nose is coffee, hops, and cocoa. The taste is more coffee and chocolate with some roasted malt and burnt wood. Finish has some bitterness and a slight oily feel to it. Very nice beer. A little thin on the palate but still good. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 9, 2004 Deep black pour with not much of a head. Faint aroma of coffee and chocolate. Kind of watered down, which isn't too bad if you like fainter stouts. Roasted malt and chocolate. Pretty good, but I like thicker stouts. Not bad for Dominion though. mrkimchee (1414), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
