COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dominion Baltic Porter is a bottom-fermented lager brewed to meet your need for warmth on a cold winter’s night. Hints of licorice, toffee & chocolate mingle with German Pilsner, Crystal, Dark Specialty Malts & a touch of Rye giving out porter a full-bodied taste.

At the Dominion Taproom at Dulles airport 9/12/2012. Dark brown with a hint of red and moderate off-white head. Sweet, brown sugar, chocolate and liquorice aroma. Full flavoured, with some chunky chocolate, caramel, and dryish roasty finish. Enjoyable.

Cask tap at Two Stones, Wilmington, Delaware to 8oz glass. Aroma is sweet, hints of chocolate. Pours with a mild head and significant lacing. Taste of chocolate, licorice, and touch of alcohol.

12 ounce bottle. Transluscent dark brown color topped by a big rocky beige head. Rich roasted smoky malt aroma with touches of nuts and cocoa. Sweet roasted malt flavor with a nutty chocolate backbone. A faint licorice taste in the finish. Nicely done.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Nearly opaque, near black with dark ruby highlights, a healthy 4-finger khaki head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, pronounced toffee, caramel, dark fruit and light hops. Taste of toffee, roasted malt, dark fruit, caramel and light hops. 12 oz bottle. Pours brown with an off-white, long lasting foamy head. Nose is bready, toasted malt, hints of dark fruit and piney hops. Body is medium and smooth. Taste is of bready, toasted malt, brown sugar, spicy hops and hints of dark fruit. Finish is long, semi-dry. Well made, balanced brew.

Had a very odd aroma, like old dishwasher water and a hint of band-aid. The taste was fair enough, your typical porter.

Draft. Clear ruby purple brown color, thick beige head, silid lacing. Aroma of roasty toasty coffee. Taste is burnt espresso, plums, prunes, raisins. A proper Baltic porter!

Location/Date:Bottle on September 27th, 2012.

Appearance: Pours black opaque with light red head.
  Aroma: Aroma of chocolate, licorice.
  Taste: Faint hop, chocolate, roasty matl, faint licorice, hint of rye.
    Palate:Medium body, smooth.

Summary: This beer was bottled in November of 2011 even though I bought it recently. Hopefully it represents. This beer is pretty damn solid and enjoyable.

Pours dark brown with a light brown head. Smells of chocolate, some spicy hints, roasted malt, licorice. Tastes spicy with some burned molasses, some spicy hints, dark fruity undertones. Enjoyable.
