Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocoalte aroma. Roasted malty chocolate caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty chocoalte finish.

12oz bottle, bottled 10/22/08, thanks peregrinari. Small beige head atop clear red-black body. Aroma is medium sweet, roast, caramel, chocolate, some anise, burnt. Taste is medium sweet, roasty chococoffee, some anise, caramel, light smoke, cherry. Smooth medium body, low carbonation.

Bottle… Pours clear and extremely dark - burnt orange when held up to bright light - with a quickly dissipating head. The chocolaty, toasty, earthy nose provides additional, inviting notes of vanilla, toffee and a whisper of worn leather. Full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. The sweet, chocolaty flavor is a touch vinous and hints at mild acidity. Lots of nice deeply roasted essences. Crisp, pleasantly sweet finish. Big thanks to Immy for shipping the bottle my way!

Draft. Clear ruby purple brown color, thick beige head, silid lacing. Aroma of roasty toasty coffee. Taste is burnt espresso, plums, prunes, raisins. A proper Baltic porter!

12oz bottle. Bottle stamped bottled on 112008. Poured a deeper mahoaony color with an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of roast, piney - rye, chocolate, and some nuttiness. Tastes of chocolate, roast, lightly earthy, caramel, and some rye. Alcohol content well hidden. Light lacing left on the glass.

Bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a small, fizzy tan head, short retention with flat lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, chocolate, caramel, nutty), light hops (woody), and light esters (dried fruit) with notes of dates. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth and creaminess with a dry finish. Rather disappointing.

Bottle marked 12-01-08 thanks to swalden28. Pours with a small tan head over a dark brown body. Aroma of chocolate, raisin, hay and red fruit roll-ups. Taste is coffee, dark fruits, and wet hay. Not much complexity. Lively carbonation, with a water like mouthfeel.

Pours a transparent dark mahogany with a thin-lacing off-white head. Aroma of toasty dark caramel and butterscotch with a touch of graininess. Body starts with some vanilla and dark caramel sweetness with a touch of milk chocolate and some diacetyl notes before a buttery finish. Needs a little more fullness and complexity, without the diacetyl.
