yngwie (9201) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 30, 2009
Bottle. A clear, brown beer with a tan head of moderate to small size. Sweet, sugary maltyness on the nose, dried fruits blending in. The flavor is sweet and malty, with cellar and dried fruits, some malt extract as well. Thin and sticky mouthfeel. Sweet finish. A rather unusual beer in a way, but quite pleasant for it’s ABV-range and style. 090925

Trade with Fonefan. It is almost black with a red hue and a creamy head. The aroma has sweetness and notes of malt and candy. The flavour has sweetness and notes of candy sugar, malt, slightly perfumed candy and it ends on a dry note. The overall impression is a bit perfumed and watery.

Very sweet. Sugar and caramel. Watery, but the finish is clean. No chicken food aftertaste like many oud bruins have.

imdownthepub (7491) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 23, 2010
Bottled, 330ml at Cafe D’Engel, Delft. Chestnut brown with cream head. Really very sweet and fizzy unfortunately, quite like malty coca cola. Nothing off, just not a beer to return to.

pivnizub (7239) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUN 13, 2010
Bottle: Amber coloured, clear, mid-sized fluffy persistent off-white head; light sweetish-coffeeish nose; light sweetish-bitter flavour, watery MF; thin - somewhat malty - finish with a touch of citric acid. A thin coffee.....

JorisPPattyn (6730) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - AUG 19, 2011
Dirty brown-greige head, small, over muddy dark brown beer with an orange sheen whilst pouring. Sweetish nose, bit of liquorice, and a faint sewer-ish smell, just under the warning treshold. Sugarwater with liquorice and some bready malt. Dissolved brown candi sugar, and trace of overripe banana in the finish. After some time, impression of Traubenzucker. Watery consistency, with a syrupy-sticky thread running through it, as an oiltrace running in the midst of a creek. We would call it tafelbier, and serve it to the kids.

330ml bottle (Luxembourg, Amsterdam) (claimed to be 0.5%)
Dark red, almost ruby. Very little aroma. An OK malt drink but I’m not getting any ’oud bruin’ out of it.
