Bought a bottle at the supermarket. Light golden color and a white head, carbonation is fine. Difficult to tell what the taste is, because it’s watery and further there is a little malt taste and some bitterness in the (after)taste. Overall not a very good pilsner, but a little better than Bavaria.

Very plain pilsner that is a bit more on the sweet side than the regular offerings. Other than that there is nothing in here to set this beer apart from the crowd. Personally, I’d pick the more bitter offerings from Brand or Gulpener.

McTapps (1490) - Ruhrgebiet, GERMANY - MAY 3, 2013
Very light cloudy yellow-golden colour with low head and crisp body. Nose of low malt. Taste of mild bitter hops, ripe grains, bitter fruits and some dry white wine. Easy to drink, but not that nice. Dry finsih.

Can from Vasl, NL shared with McTapps. From aromaless to tasteless - this way is quite short. If you do not taste or smell a thing it is hard to desricbe. Wait, some grainy aromas in there. So we do have aroma. Beside that one just a bit dull pilsner with no heighs.

Draught in Amsterdam Poured clear yellow colour with a white head. Smelled like a typical lager. Light body. Medium sweetness, lightly bitter, Typical pilsener - no surprises but that’s ok too.

Appearance: Clear yellow color with a white head that leaves a fine lacing.
Aroma: Normal pilsner malt.
Palate: Medium light body. Moderate sweet and an ok bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Mild grainy and mild hoppy.
Overall impression: Plain standard pilsener.
Personal stats: Bottle from Boni in Odijk, Netherlands.

My favourite regular pilsner. Nothing special, but better then Heineken.

Mooi Brabants pilsje. Beetje zoet maar erg goed drinkbaar. Fijn om een avondje op door te zakken.

Quite a boring beer. A personal favourite of my father, but the taste is even more watery than Heineken. Some buttery notes, but that’s it. The colour is simple and speaks for itself as a pilsener: very clear and golden coloured. Meh.

30cl Bottle brought back from a mission in Holland: best before May 2013, poured into a Duvel glass on 10 Dec 2012. It was better than the Hertog Jan beer I had next, but it didn’t have to rty hard! Typical Pilsner look: golden, clear and with a white head that couldn’t wait to leave. Grainy nose with a crisp and semi-sweet taste. Nothing sets it apart from thousands of simular Pilsner/Lagers around the world. Refreshing and non-taxing on the taste buds, un-offensive and ideal to quench your thirst after a days graft: but not a beer the chase after.
