330ml bottle picked up at El Cortes Ingles Palma de Mallorca. Dark amber body, close to clear. Remaining beige head, fragile lacing. Malty aroma, with hints of butter. Jam like taste of dried fruits, orange and buttery caramel leading to a fruity tart ending. Foamy in the mouth. Thin to medium bodied. Not bad, not great (hotel room, Port de Soller 11.07.2013).

Botella 33cl.

An interesting older style ale from an old city, this craft beer from Toledo, Spain is an intriguing not-quite-brown ale. Pours a hazy earthy brown color, looks a bit unpleasant to be honest, but has an appetizing billowy and creamy head. Flavorful aroma of toasted caramel malt, some subtle mild fruitiness, almost like an apple cider in the background. Taste is toasty, earthy, and nutty, almost could fit the profile of a brown ale, but is lighter on the palate. Not really any hoppy bitterness, yet has the sweet malt profile of an amber lager. Leaves a sweet bready aftertaste. Refreshing on an Autumn afternoon, alcohol content is lighter for casual consumption. Taste seems too delicate to pair with food. Definitely different, recommended overall.
