Draught @ You?ll Never Walk Alone, Kolding. Aroma has syrupy bready tones and resiny hops. Also licorice candy. Flavour has licorice, moderate resiny hoppiness and sweet malty tones. Sweet and delicious, the hops are not as strong as in Black IPAs usually, and that suits me very well.

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2015 Towering, fluffy pale yellowish head over chestnut coloured beer. Melanoidins, black cardamom; dry, but not very overpowering hops. Dry flavour, bit coffeish, very mildly bitter/hoppy flavours. Again black cardamom peel; bit peppery. Maybe medium bodied, gives a bit thinnish impression. There’s better in this segment. Giovanni, how do Parmigiani pronounce "Donkere Vader", pray? My bottle claims only %

Tap. Italian Job, Chiswick. Clear, dark chestnut brown. Bubbly, grey beige head. Big on the roast, chocolate malts. Dark fruit. Piny hop. Bit of dank. Bit of resin. Smells great. Drinks smooth, quite rich, soft dry, and with a piny bitterness that rises. Finishes light bitter. Drying close.

Keg at Fine Mousse, 10th December 14. Poured a fairly light brown colour, aroma was toasted malt, the flavour was weak hops, and a little watery, fine, could do with more of an umph

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2014 330 ml bottle from Birra+. Dark amber/copper, pretty clear, with a big, fluffy and persistent off white head. Surely a nowhere-near-black- black IPA. Very elegent and delicate smell. Tropical fruit explosion, citrus, red berries jam/marmelade, a hint of toffee and perhaps some subtle coffee notes in the far background. Pretty glorious aroma overall. Tastes nothing like a black IPA as well, but more like a beefed up amber ale and a red IPA mix. Very fruity, quite malty and rich, definitely more bitter than sweet. Extremely easy to drink, the 7% ABV is well hidden. The aftertaste could be longer, but it’s nice and refined. Average carbonation, medium body, creamy texture. If I had to judge this beer as a black IPA, then the word "complete disaster" would be appropriate. It doesn’t look, doesn’t smell and doesn’t taste like it. But whatever this beer is, it’s pretty damn good. Finally another solid Del Ducato offering after quite a few disappointments.
