Cask at the Bishop Blaize, Richmond. Amber body. White head. Boring appearance. Nose is nuts and spice. Smells like poor quality homebrew. Bittersweet. Dry finish. Bad.

Queens Head, Stow-on-the-Wold. Fairly plain. Soft fudge and walnut. Smudgy powdery hop bitterness. Unremarkable. The Gold is the best of the three regular Donnington beers, and this is second best.

A nice cask ale from the Cotswolds. Very smooth, very drinkable. With only 3.7% alcohol, I could drink this all day.

Light unclear light to medium amber orange color with a average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, caramel, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. (070808)

Cask@GBBF2008. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is wood and fruits with some mild earthyness. Flavour quite much the same. Not bad, but very boring.

Cask at GBBF 08. Slightly cloudy amber with a weak aroma and poor flavour. Unfortunately, just another average UK bitter.
