Thanks Craig for sharing this bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a thin light tan head. Nice malty aroma with oatmeal, chocolate, caramel and a little lemon sourness. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Not bad.

Draught @ Doppio Malto Brewing Company, via Milano 9, 22036 Erba (CO), Italy.
Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, cold coffee, dark roasted. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate malt bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100306]

Near black dark brown beer with little head. Chocolate, wood, tobacco, and a little dark malts. Sweet & dark chocolate, dark malts, some hops, and wood. Very good balance. Generally very roasted character. Bit soft palate, falling a bit dead. Nice balance, pleasing beer, but petering out a little bit.

Bottle, 75cl, thx to thewolf. Pours an almost clear brown body with a beige head. Caramel and some roast in the aroma, quite weak, and there’s also some bitter chocolate. The flavor is on another level, with chocolate and fruits, as well as some coffee. Quite dry. Full to medium body, and a roasted finish with some chocolate and coffee. The nose was disappointing compared to the flavor, it is a quite good beer, but as mentioned, it needs a heavier, more evident aroma. (080301)

Draught at "Salone della Birra Artigianale 2008" - Milan.
Red color, much dark, nearly black, inscrutable and decidedly dense one. Compact clear head, much evanescent. Altogether elegant however. Toasted and braced taste of wood, malty and cask. Much lively and prickly taste. Bitter and solid final.
