TBone (4925), Pori, Finland Jul 29, 2008 Can, alc. 5.5 % (BB 10/2008)
Pale yellow color, decent, although vanishing white head. Strong aroma of iron, corn and then when it warms up, raw alcohol. Grainy-papery malty flavor and suprisingly quite alcoholic. Harsh alcoholic aftertaste - similar to Baltic/Nordic strong lagers. Also hints of herbal hops. Quite different than their 4.7 % lager. johninmelb (632), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Mar 30, 2008 Nose has some cereal and slight banana. Pours slightly more golden than the less special stablemate. Flavour is like a slightly more mature standard, but still nothing hugely special. A reasonable, bog standard, hot weather lager. Miksu (1244), Jyväskylä, Finland Mar 14, 2008 0.33 l can. Golden color with small vanishing head. Some maltiness, alcohol, herbal hops and glue in the aroma. Malty, chewy, estery and lemony flavor. Unpleasant. Mes_and_Sim (4176), London, Greater London, England Jan 28, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest 08 Fairly hazy blonde with a thin white head. Rather sweet, malty aroma with a bit of paper and veg but inoffensive thankfully. The more I drink of it the more sweet, malty and sickly it gets. Swift finish, thank god. harrisoni (5109), Ashford, Kent, England Jan 28, 2008 Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest 08. Slight haze on a gold colour with thin white head. Smells like a pale lager. Bit of lemon. Inoffensive lager. Bit ugly.
