Liter bottle. Yellow colour with a short head. Sweet aroma of grains, some malt, alcohol and some biterness. Flavour is a bit harsh, sweet fruitiness and maltiness, alcoholic and bitter.

Not a good aroma, it is a Cristal with more alcohol and maybe more flavor, not worth a try.

Even though it’s better than its predeccesor (the now defunct Pilsener Dorada), there is not too much improvement in terms of aroma and flavor. The most noticeable features are some hops, and its high alcohol Volume. I guess that’s because since it’s a mass produced beer (actually they share part of the process with Cristal beer), they cannot vary the formula, so they just make it more alcoholic.

Painfully strong. A little sweet and tending to be orange in colour. NOt so good, although interesting foam.

Bottle, 1litre. Golden colour, carbonation reminiscent of fizzy drinks, little head and very rapid. Very simple aroma, very macro and boring. Harsh and bitter flavour, lots of hops. Body is pretty average, though, fuller than your regular chilean beer such as cristal, then again, that’s not saying much. The alcohol brings interestingness into an otherwise boring beer. Overall, it has a cheap and very macro, uninteresting feel to it, and even though it is cheaper than other macros in Chile, it’s probably better.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2007 (In can, supermarket in Chile). Very Golden clear, almost yellow, with deep badly flavor and without aromas. They arrive very fast when paladar, the alcohol and the additives. Perhaps the lager worse of Chile.

Pale amber color, bitter-sweet flavor and a sour finish. The alcohol really helps it out.

Clear golden beer with a medium white and fast disappearing head. Aroma is pretty disgusting: cooked vegetables, mixed grains dominated by rice and carrots. Flavor starts sweet with little bitterness and a bad sour finish which, thank God, is short. One of the worst lagers I’ve drunk. Maybe I had a bad bottle.

I really feel this is an attempt at a malt liquor. I found this argely in the bigger bottles and at 6% it is about one of the strongest beers in the country. This has a number of the hallmarks of a malt liquor as well. Slightly deeper malt colour and a flavour to match. It is generally a poor beer though as are all of the beers in these parts. Surely there are some brewers out there who can offer something different to the beer drinking public.
