Cask at the Wenlock Arms, London on 15th November 2009. Dark ruby, tan head of foam. Caramel malt with an alcoholic taste if drunk too fast. The patient drinker is rewarded with a delayed, but dryish bitter sweet finish. Mouthfeel somewhat creamy. A nice pint to sup at the fireside when there’s 2ft of snow on the ground outside.

Cask at Euston Tap, London. A ruby coloured pour with a medium white head. Fruity aroma. Tastes fruity, caramel, slight sweetness, smooth, rather thin and lacking in complexity for me. I quite like Dorking but this was nothing to write home about.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2011. Decent drinking strong ale with some biscuit. Decent if a little syrupy. Quite bitter on the finish. Ilked it. Biscuit

Cask (gravity dispense) at Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival, 4 February 2010. Ruby colour (surprise). Excellent condition. Little bit of apple in the aroma - maybe a little green. Quite rich fruit on the palate. Has a slightly vinous, woody character reminiscent of an old ale. Firm, slightly sharp mouthfeel with a late bitterness. Good length. Very decent effort from a fairly new brewery.
