Flavor is lightly sweet, fruity, slightly acidic. Medium bodied. Finishes a little acidic, medium bitter, quite dry. True artisanal Belgian farmhouse beer.

375ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with average to huge, frothy, collapsing, off-white head. Tart, fruity aroma has notes of orange, tangerine, slightly spicy, peppery overtones. Taste is initially citrusy fruity, lemon, orange, tangerine, all swept away by fizzy caronation, comes back in the finish with additional bitter and spicy overtones.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 sebletitje (5536) - Enghien, BELGIUM - OCT 1, 2012
37.5cl bottle, BB 01/2014.

Beautiful autumn amber color--deep and with a dense caramel head. Belgian hop nose, crisp, and with a touch of soap. Very "beery" flavor. Dank, beer crusty, and toasty.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 devmo (3) - Reno, Nevada, USA - MAY 26, 2012 does not count
Recently this little brewery has become one of my favorites but this latest bottle of amber had a vigorous carbonation problem. It was close to gushing and very lively in the glass creating a nearly impenetrable head and muting the aromas. The carbonation dominated the palate and once it settled some the beer came off slightly sweeter than I remember. Given this brewery’s story you have to expect a little bottle variation and I don’t mind that at all. The great ones are great and the not so great ones are- lively if nothing else. At least you’re drinking something real and from a distinct place.

Pizzeria Paradiso, Alexandria tap ($10): Pours an amber color without much head. Aroma is mostly malty, with some earthy characteristics and a modicum of hops. Taste is slightly sweet with some minor funk. This is ultimately a somewhat boring and forgettable beer, but plenty drinkable enough.
