Beautiful autumn amber color--deep and with a dense caramel head. Belgian hop nose, crisp, and with a touch of soap. Very "beery" flavor. Dank, beer crusty, and toasty.

Amber coloured beer, slightly hazy, with fluffy white head. Aroma keynote is farmhouse funk, some caramel, banana, slight grease tones, some leather. Flavour is sweet caramel, malts, cake, rather bitter though, some banana, young apple cider, mild white pepper. Finish is quite dry and bitter. Quite nice but in need of a bit more balance. (from 37,5cL bottle)

Sampled on 6/18/2010. This Belgian Ale pours a fairly cloudy amber copper color from a 375ml bottle. The cork was self-extracting, one the cage was removed the cork just sort of removed itself. Luckily it did not break the light fixture or my laptop, but the cork did rebound off the ceiling kind of violently, with a very large amount of gush and foam. A large sized light beige foamy head with nice retention and good lacing. The aroma is fruity, yeasty and sweet. Medium bodied Belgian ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, lots of banana and clove and some yeast. The hops are floral and slightly spicy. Very lively carbonation. There is a hint of earthiness at the finish, which balances the sweetness at the start. Interesting beer with a nice floor show at the start. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and earthy.

Slight gushing to huge, dense, yellowish head over veiled foxy-amber beer. Vanilla, greenmalt, very fresh-smelling; later fresh EU-hops, citrus, and faint mushroom/undergrowth aromas. Malty character, with coloured malts in abundance, even a touch of chocolate, a spicy bitterness and obvious fatty acids, betrayed by the arachide flavour; sweaty, certainly warming up. Very fizzy MF, CO² contributing to both taste and mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Pretty complex brew, with a nice nose, but unfortunately seriously hampered by a refermentation that seems not to be 100% under control.

A steady pour into my Bruery tulip produces a fat, two-finger thick, lightly tan colored head. The beer is a concentrated, but bright, amber color that shows a clear, bright amber depth when held up to the light. The aroma smells of lightly spicy hops, lots of cracker like malt, and perhaps a touch of English biscuits. There is a light cider like fruitiness to the nose, which gets a little floral like at times.

Dry up front, but it picks up a little sweetness in the middle and finish, which brings out a cider like note. Soft, caramelized malt notes, a touch of straw like pale wheat cracker notes, perhaps hint of hop herb / spice character in the finish, but sort of a metallic note is there as well. The body is fairly light, and this is definitely effervescent.

Cider is definitely the dominant characteristic here in both the flavor and nose; not bad, but fairly lackluster.
