A steady pour into my Bruery tulip produces a fat, two-finger thick, lightly tan colored head. The beer is a concentrated, but bright, amber color that shows a clear, bright amber depth when held up to the light. The aroma smells of lightly spicy hops, lots of cracker like malt, and perhaps a touch of English biscuits. There is a light cider like fruitiness to the nose, which gets a little floral like at times.

Dry up front, but it picks up a little sweetness in the middle and finish, which brings out a cider like note. Soft, caramelized malt notes, a touch of straw like pale wheat cracker notes, perhaps hint of hop herb / spice character in the finish, but sort of a metallic note is there as well. The body is fairly light, and this is definitely effervescent.

Cider is definitely the dominant characteristic here in both the flavor and nose; not bad, but fairly lackluster.

Bottle from the Bierkoning. Hazy deep amber pour with frothy white foam. Aroma of farmy, peppery, almost bretty yeast, with a fresh grassy herbal character, quite reminiscent of saison Dupont. Taste is spicy, ultra dry, mild malt flavor, ever so slight hint of vanilla, with a long grassy and peppery finish. Palate is light-med bodied, dry with aggressive carb. Very nice.

Dobre tresciwe piwo sezonowe ze spora piana, malym koreczkiem no i chlebowo drozdzowym smakiem i lekkim nieprzesadzonym karmelem. Kolor faktycznie jak amber ale po przelaniu robi sie mocna metnosc za sprawa sporej dawki drozdzy ktora zmienia posmak piwa.
