3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 EddyBeer1 (59) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 12, 2013

37cl bottle from dranken Geers in Oostakker. Hazzy golden body with a large white head. Aroma is almost not existing, maybe some malt, dry hops and some yeast. Taste is soft malts and a light bitter and dry finish. Good drinkable beer. ****

Bottle. Poured cloudy amber color with an average to large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate yeast and citrus aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy yeast sweet flavor with a medium to heavy yeast sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid complex drinkable beer.

12.7 Oz Bottle, best before C 7 12, which I think means it’s from 2007. purchased at Kingstown Liquors - North Kingstown. Plummy, oxidized nose, brassy and green. Vibrant grassiness blends into a settled, earth grain, like kamut or triticale. The oxidation is diffuse and works with the lightly tart, but clean malt. Very bubbly. Awesome white sheets of head. A nice Saison with a good amount of age on it. The hops are gone, but the malt and alcohol live on.

Bottle from Belmont Station, Portland. Pours a straw blond, clear. Nose is quite funky, edging on skunky. Bottling date says it should be fresh, so... Body is very lively, definitely a plus. Finish winds up yeasty (not estery, yeasty) and funky. Staid, not super funky. I’ve had better, but I’ve definitely had worse.

Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 beers this beer poured a dark amber-golden color with a large foamy white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet table sugar, yeast, pear and a bit of chalk. The flavor was sweet bread, honey, candied pears & apricots, a bit of funk and some booziness showing through. The beer turned a bit dry and chalky on the long finish of bread, pear, apricot and sugar. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

375 ml shared with czar. Thanks, mate! Pours a very cloudy orange with a short lasting white head. Smell is brettanomyces yeast, aged, dusty, fruity (tropical). Flavor is oranges, citrus, tropical fruits (especially mango). A touch of citrus bitterness in the finish, along with raspberry tartness. Sympathetic! Lots of dusty, old barn taste. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Excellent!

pours hazy and bright light golden with a decent white head, retention and lacing. barn, very grainy, peppery, yeasty, spicy, lemony. hint of sugary malts and wheat, with its acidity. very fruity - raspberries, cranberries. light but present citrusy, almost strawberry-like hopping, maybe even minty. lively and soft carbonation, light body, quenching and good! very rustic farmhouse - an example for sure!

Bottle 37,5 cl, BBE 03/2013. Lots of pressure in the bottle as the
cork flew off by itself after taking off the wire cage. Hazy golden
in color with a whitish head. Berry sweetness, some sugar cane, some
earthy notes and a bit of yeasty notes in aroma. Not so inviting
aroma, but fortunately the taste is much better with some green
hoppy bitterness, malty sweetness, notes of citrus and lemony
fruitiness. Really tasty and well balanced beer. Sweet and crisp on the whole.
lemon and a bit of yeasty notes in finish.
