Bottle, bought @ Beer Planet, Brussels. Big pop. Muddy brown with a large, frothy, yellowish head. Aroma has mild chocolate, raisins, plums. Medium carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has raisins, plums, soft astringency with some liqourice. Quite nice chocolate finish with some warming alcohol.

375ml bottle BB Jan 2014. - Very fresh and inviting aroma of EU, apparently homegrown hops and a lively yeast strain. pours a standard Belgian dark ale purplish brown with rather standard 8-degree trappist taste palette: caramel, shy roast, earthy dark fruits. Medium dryness. Achel 8 comes to mind, but sugar and ABV in this are more apparent, to remind you of a potential headache. Wanted to enjoy this more as a primer for this interesting true family brewery’s EU cask experminents

Birra inutile.

375 ml bottle shared with czar. Thanks, mate! Pours a nice brown with a resilient pale beige head. Smell is candi sugar, brown sugar. Flavor is brown sugar, caramel, red berries, spices. Finish is good hops, rather old-tasting, dusty notes in there. Yeast. Lingering fruity notes. Light to medium body. Carbonation is a bit too aggressive. Very good offering!
