Draught Small white rim over muddy dark beer. Coffee nose with pine and garden herbs - well balanced. Again dark malts with garden herbs - but I seem to get a tad diacetyl, bit buttery. Finish is hoppy. Medium body but empty finish. Liquorice warming up. Not bad, but not totally free of small faults.

(375ml bottle, courtesy of blutt59) Gushed out 3/4 of the bottle before a glass saved the remaining beer. Pours a murky brown body with a fizzy beige head. Aroma of dark fruit, yeast, caramel, and roasted grain. Flavor of roasted malt, dates, raisins, and sulfur fumes.

Massive gusher. The aroma is great. The aroma is a lovely balance of soft spice and a lovely earthy toasty character. There is a little bit of soft spice and a touch of bright minty character. There is a lot of fresh herbal spice and a bit of chewy character. There is a lot of soft peppery flavour along with some bright nutmeg and clove along with a little bit of leathery flavour. Really great stuff.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, JoeMcPhee, jerc & mabel -- c/o JoeMcPhee. Huge gusher! Pours a murky brown with a massive frothy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and yeasty along with a hint of pepper. Flavour of slightly toasted caramel malt, yeast, sour fruit and raisins. Medium bodied. Just good.

[3816-20110708] 12.7floz bottle. Fairly sour toasted fruit malt aroma. Murky, brown body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Sour fruity malt flavour has a fruity nuts base and follows through with an odd sour tropical fruit hint. Medium-full body. The biggest gusher I’ve ever seen, we’re still cleaning off the TV and couch!! (6/3/6/3/14) 3.2

2011-07-08. If a bottle gushers, the correct response is to grab a glass to pour it into, not trying to stop it with your thumb. The latter results in a "I’ve just won an automobile race," like spray of beer around the general area. FYI.

Pours a murky brown body with a tan head. 3+ Interesting aroma, modest malt core with caramel accents. 7+ Flavour has similar malty base with caramel notes, also a hint of light grassy, saison like touches. 7+ Average plus bodied Bottle labeled Dormaal dark, shared by JoeMcPhee

(bottle, 37.5cl) Cloudy, dark amber to brown colour with a beige and tall foamy head. Yeasty, mildly sweet and toasty malty aroma with notes of chocolate, marzipan, accompanied by a touch of berries, dried fruits and nuts. Sweet-bitter flavour with a tinge of sourness, medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Moderately toasted earthy malty aroma with notes of raisins and chocolate; mildly sweet and toasted finish with caramel, chocolate and fruity notes. The alcohol is well-masked. Nice. 11.VI.11

Bottled. An almost black beer with a big off-white sponge like expandind head and lacing. A yeasty aroma with lemony peppery hops and woody notes. Floral woodiness in the mouth. Chocolate and burnt malts for good measure. Pretty decent.
