Aroma is funky and slightly gueuze like. Color is an ugly green gold. With light beige head. Aroma is also that of dampness and acidicity.... Taste is sweet malty with some funk.

Had this in September on the beer festival in Mechelen, took me a time to realize the "fresh hopbeer" is named as Dormaal Winter 13. So, from tap in Mechelen. Perfect head, golden yellow, hazy. Nose: slightly fruity, fresh. Finish is dry, bitter, but very long lasting.

5/X/13 - on tap @ Modeste Bierfestival (Antwerpen) - BB: n/a (2013-922)

Cloudy beige orange beer, huge creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: grains, bit sweet, yeast, vegetable, hay, citrus, agrum fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: hoppy and refreshing start, grains, some dairy, yeasty touch, citrus. Aftertaste: fruity, peaches, bit sweet, lots of banana, citrus, very yeasty, bread, some toast, banana peel. Nice beer, but not as hoppy as I would have hoped for by the name.

Misty golden body and small stable head. Strong typical saison yeast, pepper, bubbly, well hopped, grassy. Reminds me a lot of saison Dupont dry hopping. Bitter base, bubbly but I don’t mind. I like it a lot. My kind of beer. (375ml bottle from Dranken Geers)

Countbeer (4427) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAR 17, 2013
Bottle: Medium to bigger sized and slowly changing ashy creamy foamy head on top of a hazy orange colored beer. Aromas of steel, cardboard, glue sharper and garsher grains, alcohol, yeast, sharper herbs and hops, some clay, hints of flowers and citrus. Rather bad aroma if you ask me. Taste is sharper hops, sharper grains, some citrus and sharper herbs, bitter, floral, sharper floral, nasty with a sharp and not well balanced annoying bitterness. Aftertaste is graiy, malty, floral, bitter... Not deel or strong but I guess this is the best part of the beer. Low to medium carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium sharper body and a light creamy texture. I let it breath for a while, but it made no difference: this is a bad beer, sharp, unbalanced and nasty. I really wonder why the hell they thought this beer was good enough to invade the beermarket with. A true dissapointment!
