Gravity Cask @ Royal Oak Beer Festival. Sweet malts. Good bitterness, slightly leafy citric hops.

Cask, Swan & Rushes, Leicester. Copper with an off white head. Aromas are chocolate, pine and spiced oranges with hints of perfumed soap. Nutty with hints of smoke. Flavours are nutty and dry with grapefruit bitterness and earthy, green, light pine. Spicy with dry black tea and a floral, hoppy finish. Very likeable.

Mid to dark orange brown beer with a thick white head. Distinctly floral aroma and fruity hop. Dry on the mouth. Floral and fruity hop flavour, with a little malt, some what bland in the finish.

Cask gravity @ The Falcon, Clapham Junction SW11. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

On cask at the Haymarket. Pours a dark amber colour with a thick beige head. A yeasty aroma with some biscuity malt. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and a dry finish.

Cask conditioned. The Old White Swan, York. Copper body. Medium white head. Fruity, hoppy, malt. Bittersweet. Bitter finish.

Hand pulled at Bacchus, Birmingham. Tawny, with a thick white tablet of head. A trad bitter with some lagery hops, some grass and some brown bread. A finish with water and aspirin. Average without being offensive.

Cask @ The State. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is slightly malty, some vegetables. Flavour is malty, some hops, slight vegetables. Totally forgettable.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber with white head. Quite a dry, fruity bitter with a slight orange note. Light hop and a touch of tannin. Pretty reasonable as a session type bitter.

Deep amber colour, well balanced with citrus hints. Decent session beer, not one I’m likely to remember.
