Bottle. Golden beer with a strong head. The aroma is grassy, dry and hopped. The flavour is quite dry, with a grassy, caramel and hopped body. Overall a reasonable dry and hopped beer.

A brown 500ml bottle of ’Traditional Pilsner’ from a small independant English brewer? Best before the end of Nov 2008, two days away when opened.
I poured the bottle two and a half times into one of my Veltins Pilsner glasses.
Almost looks like a Pilsner, a slight haze but golden yellow. Not the normal carbonisation either, no bubbles rising up the body. The white head not as bright or full as a true Pilsner. However it still looks OK.
An aroma which reminds you of lagers/pilsners but with added yeast, some hops and grapefruit hints.
The taste is interesting, a mix of Pilsner and UK Pale Ale flavours. There is a citrus feel within the taste also, not a sour lemon or lime, but something is in there.
There is a body and fullness to this beer, half Ale, half Pilsner. It seems to work, not sure how or why, but it does.
I liked this hybrid beer and would have it again if we crossed paths.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 justm (164) - Essex, ENGLAND - APR 21, 2012
Bottle from Wyevale garden centre, Bicester. Pours a deep straw / pale amber with a thin off-white head. It has quite a vigoroud grassy malty biscuit aroma with a light lime cordial and honey edge. Thin over the tongue, a wave of watery lemon and lime washes through followed by a sharp dryness. A damp lemongrass aftertaste has a hint of honey sweetness but there’s not a lot else going on here. Some nice citrus and grassy flavours coming from the malt and hops but the underlying sweetness knocks it a little off key. Quite pleasant but I could see myself enjoying this more on a hot summers afternoon. On a rainy evening in Oxfordshire it doesn’t quite hit the mark.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 foxo82 (162) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2012
Bottle. Pours a soapy, clear amber with no head. Very gentle aroma - slight honey. Initial mild hops on the tip of the tongue, giving way immediately to watery nothingness. Feels slightly fizzy in the mouth at first, like your finest sparkling mineral water. Label states this is a "pilsner style real ale" which sounds confused; in the end it is neither.

Bottle@Home. Sweet grain, corn and butter aroma. Dull yellow, off-white head, fair lace. Malty, grainy, cookies, veggies. Horrible hops.

Cask gravity at Wye Hops festival 2011. Pale gold thin white head. Actually a hoppy lager. Wouldnt have picked this as a cask lager I guess. Decent lemony citrus edge to the finish. Its a decent cask lager. Mind you doubt I would have it again.
