HogcliffeLenny (138), Christchurch, England Mar 17, 2008 Bottle 500ml from Waitrose, Christchurch. Definite citrus aromas on opening bottle, along with a touch of leatherwood tree honey. Pours a yellow with a medium white head. Again, the leatherwood and citrus notes follow through in the taste. Good hoppiness and a reasonable bitterness to finish. Refreshing but average.
cgarvieuk (2315), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 18, 2008 Bottle at home ... Nice label on the bottle so that +1 to apperance :-) ... light amber ... light mellow hop ... ligth clean and fresh light bitter hop with a dry linger ... nicely balanced and really clean and fresh... it suprised me by how much i liked it... Ole_R (1167), Oslo, Norway Aug 9, 2008 500 ml bottle. Label says ’Traditional Pilsener’. Well... Pours a slightly hazed pale golden body with a low greyish head. Quite aromatic considering the relatively low abv. Sweet caramel, a distinct grassy and earthy hoppiness, and some bready and fruity tones. Fairly dry and slight sour malt flavor. Nicely balanced by some solid bittering hops. Slim body. Ends up with a nice lingering bitterness. Likeable. thebeertourist (1764), Oslo, Norway Aug 1, 2008 Bottle. Clear, pale golden with a decent white head. Hay nose. Good bitterness, mostly grassy hoppiness with caramel in the background. Light-bodied. Above average pilsner, but not terribly exciting. larsga (2132), Oslo, Norway Jul 3, 2008 Medium white head does not last. Slightly hazy yellow body. Fruity caramelly aroma with bready biscuity notes. Dry fruity floral caramelly taste with dusty biscuity notes. Mild, soft, and harmonic. Some sweetness. Dry citric straw aftertaste. By no means a typical pilsener, and rather suspicuously like some bitters I’ve tasted, but still very nice. (0.5l bottle, Centra.) tarjei (1131), Bryne, Norway Jun 25, 2008 50 cl bottle. Golden color, white head. Aroma is hops and sweet malt. Flavor is sweet malt and fine hoppy bitterness. Feels like a dry pilsener.
