A mid amber coloured beer with a frothy white head. A strong nose, hoppy, fruity, a touch appley but nothing derogatory, in fact, adds to the lemony hop aromas, all backed up by a cereal, biscuity malt aroma. Dry mouthfeel. A bitter hop taste to start, with citrus and forest fruits. This is followed up by a dry, cereal, malt flavour with a hint of sweetness in the background. The finish is bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a mid brown colour with a thin white head, malty aroma, the taste is sweet and fruity, and has some spice as well, with a sweet finish.

50cl bottle from The Naked Grape, Alresford.A headless, murky chestnut pour, looking rather liveless; aroma of chocolate malts; the taste is mainly of tart apples, then a sweet, grainy, body develops with a touch of milk chocolate; but the tart fruit dominates and carries through to the end. Not a very pleasant pint - drunk well inside it’s Best Before date (07/13), but seemingly way past its best.

bottle from Lyme Regis Wines. Quite dark brown, aroma of freshly ground espresso coffee beans and cocoa powder. Light, shy malty background with coffee and bitter chocolate. Very rich and full of character.

Gravicask at the Angel mini beer festival, Kelvedon. Hazy brown beer, no real head. Light crisp palate. Nice dried fruits with a trace of toffee. Pleasant mild sourness. Semi dry finish with hop bitterness. Alright.

Cask at The King’s Head Inn, Salisbury. A red-amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is weak - what is there is of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and spices, as well as a bit of sulphur,c leading to a bitter finish. The body is light.
