Bottle. Cloudy yellow and quite flat. Fruity taste that dominates and lingers. The initial appearance put me off but eventually it turned out reaonable.Still not very good though.

Cask (handpump) at Great British Beer Festival, day 4 on 5 August 2011. Gold. Clean enough with a firm mouthfeel but a slight sweetness. Decent but nothing to really distinguish this from the droves of similar beers at the festival. The higher alcohol level than most didn’t make much of an impact. Maybe the sweetness did make it feel just a little fuller on the palate.

Deep orange, small loose head. Sweet, sticky mashiness, honey and caramel, just tons of malted barley. Full, but basically dull.

Cask at The King’s Head Inn, Salisbury. A golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, citrusy hops, and a bit of herbs, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle from Microbar, Manchester. Pale gold pour with a white head. Aromas of heather, vanilla, peach and a distinct whiff of pepper. I seemed to pick up a strong peppery flavour or that could’ve been down to the crisps I was munching whilst drinking this. Other than the peppery action there’s a splash of fruit in there too. Spicy finish....had to have been the crisps.

[3161-20100725] 500mL bottle. Yeasty toast aroma. Hazy, light brown orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Floral yeast flavour has more toast notes in it. Medium body. Pretty good.

Cask, Melton Fest 10. Golden with a thin foam. Aromas are biscuit and grain with a typical lager malt character. Clean citrus with apple. Nice lager hops. Flavours are sweet biscuit malts with jammy lemon. Hoppy and fresh on the finish. A good UK lager.
