COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.
This pale-golden beer has a complex aroma of fruit, honey and vanilla. Its predominantly hoppy, slightly citrus flavour leads to a refreshing finish.
Hops used: New Zealand Hallertau

bottle from Darts Farm. Hazy golden colour, mid-sized white head. Malty, esty citrus hints, grassy hops. Nice one.

On tap @ the Stockbridge Tap. Pours amber with a slight haze and a decent head. My general impressions were a little better than the other raters - nice appley fruit on the nose and taste while being quite balanced. This has got to come under Bitter in style, though.

Malty and slightly cloudey golden ale, both in aroma and in its taste. Next to no head.

Cask (Tivoli (JDW), Cambridge)
Slightly mashy graininess, quite fruity. A little sticky, but also smooth. Carbonation low. Grainy and mashy, a bit stodgy and porridgy. Just about adequate as a bitter.

Cask by handpump at Counting House, Glasgow - deep golden with a slight haze, creamy off-white head, good lacing, sweet malty aroma with bit of fruit, caramel, almost sickly sweet, fruity, creamy texture, clean finish

Hand pulled cask at Wembley Spoons. Gold with a thin white head. Sweet malts with a touch of diacytl. Not much going on in the hop department. Dull.

Cask at the Lord Wimborne (JDW) Poole; amber with a thin yet dense white head; this had a very offputting aroma of cleaning products, very probably because Wetherspoon’s dishwasher wasn’t working properly; reminder to self: when in the High Street always go to the Brewhouse or Blue Boar, as Poole’s shabby Wetherspoons is a false economy; thankfully the taste wasn’t similarly destroyed (if I held my nose): sweet malts and fruit (bitter lemon and orange) with a bitter hop bite; very dry; quite a thick mouthfeel; like a thicker version of their Jurassic; not a write-off, but unfortunately this beer was more than likely ruined by the pub that served it - I’ll have to give it another try some time in the interest of fairness.

Wheatsheaf, Borough 4 Nov 12. Gyldenbrun. Litt uklar. Lavt skum. Svak fruktig aroma. Smaken tørket frukt. Litt parfymert. Søt ettersmak.

Cask, half-pint shared with Finn at The Wheatsheaf pub. Crystal clear, golden body Spotty lacing. Subdued aroma of mid-sweet fruits and earthy malts. Herbal hops and bread-like malts in flavour. Mild bitter ending. Decent partner to the Sunday Roast (London, 04.11.2012).
