Papsoe (10551), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 6, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Clear pale golden with a dense white head leaving some lacework. Clean and malty nose. Medium body with sweet malts. Dry and lightly hoppy finish. A very straight Pils. 041008 MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Oct 4, 2008 Bottle, 4.9%. Weak hay aroma. Pale yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour starts off bready, turns clean. OK bitterness in the finish. bierkoning (4935), La Tropica, Netherlands Apr 28, 2005 Hay aroma. Creamy and flowery. Hoppyt flavor with some malty tones. Not really refreshing, the floweriness plays a dominant part in this beer. MoritzF (3926), Ruhrpott, Germany Mar 20, 2005 Updated: Mar 21, 2005Grown up in the shadows of Hoesch Phoenix Steel Works it is bitter to remember the old Stiftsbräu in the neighbourhood. Nowadays we have a mainstream brew which is sill acceptable according to the price of 7,5 €/20bottles. A quite fine (mainstream) Pils brewed by DAB. But RIP to the old (retired) Stiftsherren Pils of Stifts´ I liked so much during the old school days. pivnizub (3899), Porúří, Germany Oct 12, 2005 Bottle: Straw golden coloured, big white fluffy, lacing head; grainy nose, combined with some grassy hoppiness, very mild bitter flavour, short dry, but smooth bitter finish; all in all quite mild and better, because not so agressive, than the most "extract"-spiced brews
