Got a very fresh example, BB 20.05.14. Coarse pilsner nose, with spicy hops in the background. Crisp pils malt again on the palate, with spicy/grassy German hops in absolute perfect balance. Very good beer and style.

Bottle. Clear golden color, fluffy white head. Subtle aroma of grainy cereal. Taste is lightly bitter straw, very lager like.

McNeillR (1758) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 9, 2015
Pale glistening golden, visible carbonation and a nice thin bubbled head. Waxy grass and lemon nose. Clean creamy lemon, light brassy bitter and just a straightforward pale refreshment buzz. Firm carbonation ticks things overall. Simple mint malt ting, smooth creamy lemon finish.

Golden color with white ring. Aroma of corn and sweet grains. Taste is the same, crisp feeling. Standard German Pilsner.

50cl bb07/2015, catered by McTapps straight from the slum with once highest density of breweries in Germany. DAB Export is not DUB Export, although they belong to the same pizza conglomerate now and Export as a style has become a dulled rearview mirror into the 50’s Germany of the Wirtschaftswunder. - Undertoasted Toastbrot, honeypops diluted semi-crisply to swill. Hint at herbal, lemonade hops in finish. Overexposed macro no-brainer.

Clear light yellow, short lasting white foam head. Barley aroma and typical German beer taste. OK beer. Short aftertaste. (Velp 201412)

Great head that lasts nicely. Quite light in flavour but with a kick of bitterness in the finish from the herbal hops. Not the most interesting but very drinkable for the abv.

Backlog. Bottle 50cl. Yellow golden color, two finger foamy white head; light sweet malty nose, grainy, grassy hops; mild medium bittersweet taste; medium body, oily mouthfeel; aftertaste is bittersweet, herbal hop notes.

Bottled, imported to US they dont seem to sell it here anymore. The best beer i’ve ever tasted...slightly bitter, fairly strong, very smooth, it goes down like honey. Refreshing. Maybe it will come back?

0.5L bottle. Clear pale with a frothy white head that stays and good lacing. Hops dominate the aroma along with burnt tire. Hops also dominates the flavor profile. Initial herby hop flavor gives way to a mild cereal and nutty grain flavor. Finishes with a long, herby hop flavor and not too much bitterness. Medium-full body with a thick mouthfeel and mild carbonation. Overall, a fairly tasty brew. Fairly unidimensional in the hop profile, but well-balanced with a nice palate.
