Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

One of the better things to come from south of the border. Not quite full bodied like they claim. It does have a good amount of malts with a nice touch of hops.

Has a sour note to it that I didn’t appreciate. Other than that, it was quite drinkable.

Sweet corn nose and a pleasant carmel color. No head. Weak sweet malt taste and slightly grassy finish. Edgy palette. Odd mix of tastes that aren’t really balanced.

Good cerveza. Very evident tang of hops. With much more of a sweet malty overtone than the other crap that comes from south of the border.

Corny, sweet amber beer with hints of malt but very watery. Boring but better than most of the mexican beers I had so far.

A standard Mexican beer. Darker than Corona but doesn’t really taste any different.

The better of the two Dos Equises in my opinion. Noticablr light malt flavor that makes it a good one for sitting around outside in the summer. I’m usually pretty happy to drink this one.

Some dark malt, translating into a rather thin ricey malt body. Very little in the hop dept. A step above budmilloors, but not a gigantic one.

Handles the malt fairly well, I thought, while cold, and even a bit when warming. Not a hop to be had, IMO. Went well with a giant salad/steak/baked potato meal, while Ann (who never drinks) had el supremo Strawb. Daq. The kids were even not devils, and ate their food. A good beer experience along with the whole dinner.

Hardly a great beer, but a staple of my college and post-college years. Nice reddish hue, decent flavor (c’mon guys, its better than PabstMillerCoors, ya gotta admit); biggest problem is the slight detergent twinge to the aftertaste. OK, buy Negra Modelo instead.
