COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Not bad for a Mexican beer.

Light, gainy nose. Smooth, albeit with an ever so slight metallic undertone. Malty sweet background throughout, particularly in the finish. Ends with a hoppy trail reminiscent of Budweiser, which I favor. The neutrality of Newcastle Brown. Solid Mexican beer that is usually found fresh in the LA, CA region.

Bitter taste, like most amber beers. I don’t like them at all.

Nice clean aroma, no skunk at all. No real taste either. It is just plain, not good or bad. I didn’t like the draft Dos Equis at all, however. I can at least tolerate these bottles, especially with spicy food.

Amber hued, though noticeably thin-bodied, with a good head that is fed for several minutes by the anabatic carbonation. Mass-produced beer smell and flavor, but quite smooth and drinkable.

Malty aroma. Highly carbonated. Dry finish. Thin head. Amber colored and light bodied. An Americanized Vienna style beer. It would have no taste if it wasn’t so highly carbonated. Poor example of the Vienna style.

I don’t like this too much for taste. Goes with Taco Cabana (fast Mexican food) but that’s about it. Rather skunky and simple.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2003 Kind of malty. Good for a Mexican beer. I was pleasantly surprised by this. Still can detect some adjunct. Great by Mexican standards though.

A good Mexican beer. This beer is a little dark, but has a skunky kina taste to it. However, I do enjoy it. Not bad, not bad at all. This beer reminds me of a naked Latino chick, who obeys my every needs. Dark complexion, nice and wet, and always asking for seconds.
