COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

As I recall, I wasn’t blown away by this. Average lager beer with faint nose.

Truly a neutral beer. It’s good to get when nothing else is available. Has some strange useless trivia associated with it as it’s actually a vienna lager.

A quite dull, uninteresting amber. A better choice however over most other lighter Mexican brews while enjoying a Mexican meal. Some mild caramel flavor, but fairly dull.

The lager is better. This is thoroughly unimpressive, and doesn’t have a very good aftertaste.

Not sure if this is the amber or what. Looks just a few shades lighter than Newcastle Brown Ale. Nice body, but very little taste or aroma. Developed a metallic taste as it warmed. Not up to par with their lager.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2009 RE-RATE - Poured from bottle. Faint aroma of malt and brown sugar. Clear amber, thin tan head. Flavor is caramel malt and corn. Clean feel. Average and drinkable.
