COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. You know, for a Mexican beer this isn’t half bad. It’s a great companion with all kinds of food and at least has the beginings of quality. After drinking a complete waste like Corona, this beer seemed like a $100 bottle of wine.

Sorry fans, but I had to take the average rating for this down a notch. Corona, Dos Equis, Modelo, 3 strikes and you’re out. I am not rating any more Mexican ’beer’.

Takes the best of Dos Equis, and adds better body and aroma.

Tried this from the tap in Mexico. ’Dos Equis Oscura,’ as they call it. A little light on the flavor, but otherwise not bad; very drinkable in large quantities. Tasted sort of like a ’light’ version of a German Dark. Nice malt characteristic, however faint.

A very ordinary beer, I thought, with little to distinguish it from any other light-tasting beer. Certainly acceptable but I wouldn’t go out of my way to seek it out.

I used to think this was a rather bitter, complex beer. Hell, I gave it an 8 out of 10. Then I turned old enough to drink and realized how wrong I was.
