It was named to commemorate the arrival of the 20th century and it was the best selling product Moctezuma Brewery between the 40s and 50s. Has a discrete backer rod, strong carbonation what style reminiscent of Oktober fest, distinguishable scent of sweet caramel malts with hints of apple, palate, good body, something light, easy to drink, as distinguished malt candy hints of hops that give a slight bitterness. Excellently balanced Beer

From 12oz bottle, from BJCP study group night
Aroma: caramel sweetness, very sweet aroma, little to no hops
Appearance: amber reddish, crystal clear clarity, white head with minimal retention
Flavor: toasty and malty, grainy, tad sweet, caramel, low to no hops, dry finish
Palate: medium body, medium to high carbonation, creamy
Overall: A very malty amber lager with some toasty and caramel flavor. Very smooth with a nice dry finish. Not bad, but I’m not a big fan of ambers.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smells very faint. Lager esk smell.
Pours a dark golden colour.
Taste is a little heavier on the lager scale. More full flavour then the lager.
Lots of carbonation. As it should be
Had this beer on tap. Overall I was very pleased to have this on vacation. Even the wife enjoyed.

1.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma, what aroma. Nothing to sniff at here. First pour had a stench, but after that went away, I was left with nothing really. If you dig around in there you’ll smell some bread, but nothing more....Appearance, it pours an amber color, imagine that! It’s an amber lager with an amber color. Th e head wasn’t really noteworthy either.....Taste. Eh, it’s okay. Very sessionable because it really has no flavor. It’s a tiny bit sweet, no bitterness at all. I really can’t nail down any characteristics of flavor, maybe some maltiness, but that’s about all....Palate, the only reason I scored it as high as I did is the drinkability. It’s smooth and slick, goes down real easy.....Overall, it’s a beer you could easily get hammered on. But it’s not for me. Wouldn’t purchase again. Even the most interesting man in the world probably wouldn’t bother with this, one of the least interesting beers.

This beer is smooth! True reflection of Mexico. I am open to exploring new beers and this one didn't let me down.

Decent amber. Fits the style. Good for light drinking, like when this is the only choice other than bmc type stuff. Nothing remarkable.

Amber body with a white head. Aroma of corn and citrus. Taste matches the aroma, slightly effervescent.

I am ashamed how much I loke this beer. Its light has just enough hops to enjoy with anything has an interesting aroma. Its better than bud light.
