Reddish amber with off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Caramel and malt nose. Malty sweetness with a slight citrus presence. Light bodied and well-carbonated. Decent Mexican beer--finally!

Drank from bottle. Smells malts and not much more. Tastes raisins, malts and watery. Average carbo, thin body and a watery texture.

Not very flavorful, but then, at many Mexican Restaurants, this is the best they may have. It’s fairly dry, some caramel malt flavor, nearly no hop bitterness, flavor or aroma. Needs lime to get it to be passable. It’s OK, but then, I’m a hop head.

Bottle at Hacienda restaurant Toronto. Amber coloured. I preferred to the lager. Has a maltier taste with a more complex taste. But not very complex, a drinkable but very average beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is superior to the pale Dos Equis XX. The aroma is thin and all malt. The appearance is attractive, almost red with an adequate vanilla head. The taste is light, malty, and finishes sweet. It is a sessionable beer and good with most any food.

Clear brownish amber pour with a 1 finger beige head. Aroma is composting grass, toast, rubber and malty sweetness. Flavor is toast, sour apple, rubber and grassy sweetness. Light body, a little oily initially, medium carbonation and dry, with a sort of metallic feel to the finish. Lots of off notes, not really much going for it.

2/22/14. Bottle. Ugh. A not very good beer made worse by dumping a bunch of nondescript malt in to make it 'amber'. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours brown/amber. Any head had disappeared by the time it reached me. No lacing. Carmel malts throughout taste profile, no noticeable hops. Finishes bready sweet that fades quickly. Not great, very plain.

Draft. Pours brown with thin white head that lingers. Mild caramel aroma over medium carbonation. Decent caramel flavor with no hop flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
