Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Pours a clear orange/brown with a light tan head. The smell is brown sugar, caramel. The taste follows the nose. Carbonation is macro average with light+ body.

Draft pours caramel with no head. Smooth caramel taste. I squeezed a lime in it and shouldn't have. At Sammy's ---Rated via Beer Buddy

I did like this beer. I am from the tropic, and we like light beers. This one was perfect. Nice balance betwen sweet and spice. Good beer for a hot day.

I had this at a Mexican restaurant the other night and I thought it was alright with Mexican food. It pours caramel brown with a little bit of foam. The flavor is a little richer than the usual mass produced lager. There’s a little spice, something like nutmeg, in the finish. I liked it enough that I’d be willing to drink it again.

Bottle. Best option at a Mexican restaurant. Caramel malt aroma and taste but, pretty light overall on the palate. High carb. Standard easy amber lager.

I’ve had this beer more than enough times in my life to say something. Here’s my thoughts from notes. I’ve had it in a pint glass and a pilsener and its basically the same. The appearance has a nice red/amber filtered looking color with a decent one finger white foamy head that ends up dieing at a nice pace, close to thirty seconds to a minute. There’s some light lacing here and there. The smell had some earthy caramel malts that come across fairly toasty-like. The taste was sweet and energized with a nutty sort of breadiness. I didn’t get any aftertaste but there was a quick dry finish. On the palate, it sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sharpness lingering over the mouth and tongue from the carbonation. Overall, I say this isn’t a bad Vienna Lager. Its worth having again, its just nothing to go out of your way for.

On draught at Oba! Amber color. Aroma is caramel malt. Taste is also malty, with caramel and grass notes. Fairly light-bodied, with a sweeter finish than I expected.
