Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Ambar intenso y transparente, espuma moderada a baja. Aroma malta maltoso moderado a alto, lúpulo cítrico-herbal bajo. Tibieza alcohólica, balance a malta maltoso, con final seco y amargor moderado de lúpulo propio. Buena carbonatación, con cuerpo pleno, muy buena cerveza industrial estilo Vienna.

Not horrible & actually almost decent on a warm summer’s night. Thin copper pour w/ a white head that leaves little lacing. The aroma is bready & malty but not off putting. The taste has a little bit of body & character. There’s a slight sweetness & not completely watered down Mexican crap. You could do worse!

Bottle. Copper color with thin white head. It has a mild malt aroma and the flavor is slightly caramel. It has an initial sweetness that mellows with time.

Pours amber with a small off white head. Aroma is caramel, toast and a slight hint of roasty chocolate. Taste is sweet with very mild bitters. Light bodied, smooth and also goes well with the burritos I’m eating.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2015 Bottle. Aroma is mild malt. Appearance is clear dark brown (like root beer or cola) with nice sparkle but no head/lacing. Taste is mild sweet. Palate is light-bodied with thin texture, average carbonation and abrupt finish. Refreshing beer without complexity or tremendous interest but well above the average domestic swill.

Moderate foam. Good aroma of caramel and light rye bread. The taste is not so surprising, but satisfactory of caramel malt, a little bread and a little sweetish spicy taste that reminds a little discreet about pine needles, but without the bitter taste. Hoppy bitterness is beautifully balanced with respect to the malty flavor, but in the end it is a rather discreet and anonymous vienna. It will certainly be very suitable for Mexican spicy food or just as a cool beer when you think you’ve earned it. Some gem it is certainly not, but type correctness and general expectations for a wienerøl are met.

Decent amber pour, quick thin white head. Nose is medium roasted grain. Bittersweet. Middle shows some caramel. Finish shows a touch of hop bitterness.
