Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Not bad for what it is. Very smooth and drinkable. Throughly enjoyed it a tex-mex restaurant.

On tap at OTB. Dark amber body and makes a thin white head. Good lacing. Very typical of this genre. Not much aroma, at least if there is, it's hard to smell it over the included line wedge. Tastes a bit watery with a little bit of malt. Not much hop taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Typical Mexican lager with about three extra kernels of crystal malt to give it a tad more flavor. I would still prefer this over BMC.

For some historical reason, Vienna lagers survived better in Mexico than in Austria, and this is by far the most popular example. Off-white, lacing head on a deeply amber-coloured beer, crisp and thirst-quenching with nutty maltiness and grassy hops in the finish, fairly straightforward but historically interesting and to some extent even a bit reminiscent of Oktoberfest beers.

32oz draft with lime wedge. Thick white head that disappears to a thin white rim around the glass. Reddish amber in color . Scents of caramel, corn, and copper. Flavors of malts, citrus, corn. I only drink at Mexican restaurants.

Transfer from BA review on 9-17-12 - Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – Served a deep amber/ light brown colored brew with a one finger white head. The head faded quite fast to leave a medium level of lacing. Smell – The aroma is very light overall. There are hints of caramel malt as well as a light bready smell. Taste – The taste begins with a light roasted and bready base and some caramel sweetness. As the taste advances the sweetness fades momentarily while flavors of a herbal hop flavor come to the tongue. At the end of the taste however, the caramel sweetness comes back and combines with the light roasty bread and herbal flavor to leave a semi-sweet, yet very lightly hopped flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the lighter side with a carbonation level that is rather high. The lightness and carbonation make it rather refreshing, yet somewhat take away from the roasty flavors of the brew. Overall –Ah... It OK. Quite easy to drink and a moderate amount of flavor. Quite non-offensive.

From a bottle. Pours a clear brown, tiny white head, a bit overly carbonated and thin for me, malty backbone is nice, not as bad as I’d expected.

Decent quality over some macros. Better than Corona. Pairs with lime well in fact I won't drink it without lime to add a little flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2014 A watery, close to flavorless amber more reminiscent of a pale lager than anything else. Fairly clean and highly refreshing.

Okay let’s all admit we tried this because of the "Most Interesting Man In the World" commercials back in the day. That being said, this actually isn’t awful. Just your standard amber ale, some sweet malt flavors and not much else going on.
