Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Clear brownish amber pour with a 1 finger beige head. Aroma is composting grass, toast, rubber and malty sweetness. Flavor is toast, sour apple, rubber and grassy sweetness. Light body, a little oily initially, medium carbonation and dry, with a sort of metallic feel to the finish. Lots of off notes, not really much going for it.

Bottle from Milagro’s in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is corn, cornflakes. Taste is Special K served with seltzer water. A little sweet but not terrible.

Had a bunch of this on tap at an all-inclusive in Mexico. A little more malt than its pale lager sibling, but not really much more interesting.

bottled - nice amber color (which you would expect from a beer of the same name). A bit artificial tasting though.

355 ml bottle @ 5-Forty Cafe. Clear copper, lasting tan foam. Caramel mostly masks the vegetal sewage aroma and taste... mostly. Average carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. LF (Lagerboy Friendly) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour ms caramel brown. White beige foam. Good retention. Caramel and a bit yeast in the nose. Taste is dominated by caramel and a faint liquorice backed up by a very slight bitterness. Not a bad wiener lager.

Yeah I have not had this is well over a decade... I could wait a few more years. It is malty, has a slight metallic and corn-y note with a fragrant herbal backing. It is what it is.

Only slightly better than its brother the light lager, only difference is the Amber color with some extra malts, but no much malts to speak of and no hops.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Distant hop nose. Bright copper beer with foamy white head. Light carbonation. Mineral water spritz in the mouth. Finish is short with notes of cardboard & bubblegum. Tiny sour touch right at the end. Refreshing, palatable.
