2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Mexican restaurant, my wife, my mother-in-law and her 80-something friend, yup, I need a beer and the distraction of another rating. Let's see, Bud, Miller Lite, Pacifico, shit I guess of all the choices this Dos Equis Amber looks the least offensive. Nice amber color out of the bottle with a large white head that dissipated rapidly. Mild aroma with hops and a hint of orange (thanks to my wife who's sniffer is about twice as sensitive as mine, that's good for beer tasting, not so good when I haven't showered all day...). Decent flavor, light and hoppy with a malt finish. Not adjunct sweet or too watery like many of the other menu offerings. The food was good, the beer okay, the conversation "pleasent". Good to be home with a fine ale now while I write this.

Bottle, Clear amber with white head. Aroma of caramel and hops. Taste of water, hops, and a slight sweetness. Very carbonated with a tangy aftertaste.
This beer is a poor man’s Corona. It’s not great by any means, but it’s cheap and it works with my equally cheap Mexican dinner.

330ml bottle@Pueblo Bar y Taqueria, Helsinki - 29/11/2013. Clear amber color with minimal head. Aroma is sweet and caramelly. Taste watery and sweet with no bittering. Palate is light and highly carbonated. Worked somewhat with mexican food but as a beer this is not worth your effort.

150 yen on sale at Yamaya. A surprisingly decent amber color, it has the right SRM.straight from the fridge a mild malty sweet caramel aroma which unfortunately is suffers a bit from grainy notes. Light body, too carbonated, too sweet, sweet amber malts at first before being overwhelmed by harsh grainy sugary flavors. This bottle is possibly past it’s prime but still not all that special, the best point is the appearance.

one of the better beers I’ve discovered from Mexico, sweet but not cloying, works well with spicy Mexican food. Can drink all afternoon without getting to drunk. not a bad beer

Pours a clear and amber with a half finger off white head. Weak smell of grain, lager type scents. Pretty clean flavor of malty grain and a slight sweetness on the finish. Mouth fell is thin with medium carbonation. Just OK on its own. Works well in a michelada with fajitas.

BB 18-02-14. Poured an orangey amber colour with a one-finger white bubbly head that diminished quickly and had virtually no lacing. Aroma of musty grain and yeast. Taste bland with no real bitterness. Light body bordering on watery. Light bland finish. Not a good example of an amber beer.
