Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Original review posted 10/18/2008... Pours a rusty, amber bourbon color that looks very thin and clammy. No head to speak of. Slight tone of amber malt but that’s it. Not bad but not much of anything. Relatively clean and sparse amber malt. Slight ginger/sarsparilla feel. Not powerful but enjoyable enough, especially with appropriately spiced food. Crisp on the palate aided by carbonation tingle.Slight pine to the hop pucker. Finish is clean of aftertaste. This one’s a nice spot start. Not one for the regular rotation but when the matchups are good it’ll eat up some innings.

Bottle with my burrito. Tasted of cold. It has a bit momre to it than regular dos equis. Maltier. As with all Mexican beer, it serves a purpose..

An okay beer not much of a bite like most Mexican beers but it goes down easy.

Bottle on American Airlines flight. Light taste, smooth, but very plain. I wouldn’t bother with this again.

12-ounce bottles. Not a bad choice for having Mexican, although I would be more likely to order the more flavorful Negra Modelo instead.

Bottle @ a Mexican restaurant Clean pale amber looking thing. Not a great deal to offer on the nose - light malt toastiness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, relatively clean. Bit more character than your average lager - touch of caramel malt is enjoyable but short lived, mild bitterness. It’s ok.

Not bad at a mexican restaurant but overall lacking in flavor. Actually better with lime.

On tap in Don Sirloin, Playa del Carmen. Amazed not previously reviewed, must have been an oversight! Much cleaner and less skunky than bottles I have had previously, clean and easy drinking with a pleasant caramelly flavour. I wouldn’t have given the bottles previously tried in the States this score, but it wasn’t bad on home ground.

Draught at Cancun AirPort Amber with à small head. Sweetish aroma and flavour with Brown sugar and some toffee. Liw bitterness. Bland.
