Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

0.33l bottle. It pours a clear deep deep ruby-amber body with a small quickly sidesticking white head. The aroma has tones of burned sugar, caramelized red apples, some ripe dark fruits and perhaps even some hints of cognac that has been standing out in a glass for some days. Quite watery both flavor and texture wise and the carbonation level is average to soft. Yeah, thin and watery flavors here. Some hints of red apple and some really thin caramel. Low, almost non existing bitterness - but still it’s not really to sweet. All in all, drinkable but not something I would recommend to anyone. 03.03.2012

For a really common beer, this one isn’t bad. Not much flavor of anything, but it’s cold on a warm day.

Pours copper with an off white head. Very faint malt aroma. Nice bitterness up front with some malt after that but not a lot going on. Not bad to have with Mexican food.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2012 Reddish brown color. Malts and citrus and grass in the smell. Taste is a mild citrus, nothing bitter or exciting about it. Good simple lager.
