Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Had at the Mexican Connection in Saratoga Springs, NY on draft. Refreshing, amber lager. Not packing much of a punch in the flavor department, but it’s certainly better than its pale brethren.

Bottle. An American Dark Lager - one of the more unavailable Ratebeer genres in Norway - at my local grocery store. How nice. :-) Pours a clear light amber body with a small white head. Aroma is pale malts and caramel with hints of almonds and cherries. Taste is pale malts, cooked vegetables, hints of nuts and traces of cherries in the back. A bit fizzy and thin on the palate, as expected. A bit boring, but not bad.

Amber in color with a nice foamy head. Very light bitter taste with a thin finish. Very mild overall with nothing worth noting.

Amber in color. Large head at first, falls quickly though. Smells of malt, and grains. Taste is of bready malts and a small amount of a hop backbone to throw in some bitter. Pretty light mouthfeel.

Draft at Emilio’s Mexican Restaurant. A watery amber that I’d only drink at a Mexican joint. You pick up on some of the amber notes you’d expect, dough caraemel and nuts, but very muted. Watery. The appearance and palate was decent; it was the taste that threw this one off.

Medium beige head. Clear brown body with light carbonation. Light papery caramelly aroma with fruity dusty toffee notes. Dry-sweetish dusty earthy caramelly taste with fruity buttery notes. Mid-to-light body. Mild, dusty mouthfeel. Dryish mealy vaguely caramelly aftertaste with earthy metallic notes. It’s not bad, but it’s very bland and boring. (0.33l bottle, Centra Colosseum, Oslo.)

Dos XX Ambar has definitely kept their recipe the same for so long for a special reason. Pours well into a glass and aroma jumps from the foam head. Very mild Vienna lager that is light-medium bodied. Very good beer to enjoy on back patio during fall-spring evenings.

Amber color with a small head and maybe the slightest of lace. Smelled like a combo of corn and malt. Very light carbonation, but not super watery . Decent beer for the style.

This beer is great with a lime. Being a beer snob I realize its hard to give any large scale co. a high or semi high score cuz thats not what were after, but you have to give it up if it tastes good. this is nice.

Decent, but nothing grand. The beer is bready but balanced with floral hops. The beer is amber with a fizzy head. The taste is bread and floral hops. The body is smooth and clean.
