Off-white head, dark amber color, aroma of toasted cereal, bread. Grassy hints of hops. Average drinkable beer, better than most Americans.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rangerred (338) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - JAN 2, 2012
Served on tap at the local mexican restaurant.
Arrived a clear medium abler with a good white head. Retention and lacing maker were decent.
Smell was slightly caramel along with some malt. Not bad.
The taste had hints of caramel and roasted malt with a slightly grassy hop flavor. Not bad but not spectacular either. One of the better mexican beers but that’s not saying much. Usually my go-to with mexican food.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 bluemooner (436) - East Bethel, Minnesota, USA - DEC 27, 2011
Pours a thin, clear amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is weak and is mostly corn with the obligatory caramel malt notes. Flavor is also grain and corn with hints of caramel malt. Then body with too much carbonation. Just not enough flavor anf that which is present resembles too much the standard macro brew notes. Just the standard watered-down swill.

12oz bottle from a sampler case. Pours a clear, reddish amber with a big off-white head that stands up. Nose primarily of malt, and caramel. Taste isn’t as malty as the nose. A little bit of toffee. Good carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel. A pretty decent amger lager.

Bottle from Jacobs på Holtet. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma. Sweet, thin and watery without much bitterness. Pretty boring beer, but still one of the best Mexican beer I have tasted.
