COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

I’ve never liked this beer. I suppose it’s to be better than the green XX but I don’t see it. I never detected a single amount of malt or any amber characteristics whatsoever.

Mexican swillfest beer 3 of 3. Whoa... this one actually had some color. Light amber body with no head. Reminded me of an inferior Yuengling clone. Light caramel, harsh crisp taste. Not much else.

Bottle-Looks good when your pour with an amber color and medium head that lasts. That’s the high point, the aroma is old, spent, stale? I’m not sure which. No taste to note, especially malt or caramel, no real afteraste either, mostly water. At least I got this beer out of the way. Produce place, 1.49

12 oz bottle-straight from the bottle @ a Mexican Resteraunt. This beer was pretty bad, Metalic flavor that was very off putting. Expected this to be better than a Dos Equis Lager, but that just wasn’t the case. Tasted like a Yuengling that had went bad, very bad. I won’t drink this again.

12oz bottle. pours clear reddish-brown color, eggshell colored head. aroma of corn and light toast. Nutty. Austin Powers "nutty". Flavor is of water and corn. Gross. I’ll stick with the green bottle of Dos Equis XX when I’m stuck in Mexico.

If faced with only Mexican beers, you could probably do worse, but nothing I would seek out. Kind of dull, nothing to get excited about.

I’m not quite sure what this beer is attempting to accomplish here. This does not replace an ale or a lager. The taste is mildly like a nutty resin. Pours a brownish amber color with a small brownish white head.

Drank strictly for the rating. I didn’t expect much but it surprisingly was not horrible. Thin and watery for my taste.

12 oz straight from the bottle. Cringed as I popped the top off, anticipating the filth that lay before me. Slowly I tipped my head back, drowning my boredom with sip after sip of a poor excuse of a cardboard flavored beer. Note to my mother’s friends: next time you bring this beer with you for a dinner party, remember to either A. drink it all, or B. take it with you. Thanks

Yellow cristal color, no head, a little aroma, the flavor is fresh and smooth, no taste,
