Maybe about 20 years ago this was by far the most popular selling Mexican Beer on the market. Pours amber brown clear. Aroma and flavor are citrus malt. I believe it is the best of the Mexican beers, which really isn’t saying much. Very light and crispy taste, not a well balanced beer, but drinkable.

Reviewed from notes. Poured into a shaker pint glass. Color is a modest copper-brown with a slight head. The nose brings forward a bit of light bread and some very mild and earthy hops. The taste combines a bit of earth and a touch of toast fairly well, at least given who the producer is. Decent body and carbonation; this isn’t half bad. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-14-2010

It pours a light rediish brown with a light tan head, decent retention and lacing. The aroma is malty with a little hops and spice. The taste is what you would expect nothing special. Decent mouthfeel and drinkability.

It poured a cola brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of nuts. The flavor was not very pleasing. Not very good, but it was a happy hour brew.

My girlfriend likes this beer so i figured I’d would have a few when we were hanging out. It’s decent. Tastes like a high volume beer, better than any of the coors or miller lite for sure. But based on the ease of getting good craft beer, i’ll stick with the good stuff...

So it is Cinco de Mayo and I have absolutely no connection to the culture of it but here I am with a Mexican beer. I’ve been told this is the best Mexican macro out there. Pours a deep reddish amber with a tiny white head that quickly dissipates without lacing. The smell is ultra light, some light and toasted malt is all that I get. The taste is putrid, just funky watery corn, I was expecting somethign decent actually. This is crap. The mouthfeel is ultra carbonated and it tingles your gums after a drink. Well it is only slightly more interesting than a Corona so it isn’t worth trying really. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 05-05-2010 19:57:44

Good thing I tried it before I ever went to Mexico... now my quest for a good Mexican beer can continue.
