COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Chronoflash (76) - New York, USA - JAN 18, 2011
This dark cider brew climbs to an inch-thick off-white head, fading fast. Caramel, toasted grains, a hint of vegetal aroma, the slightest scent of chipped paint, and no detectable hop character rises to the nose. A fairly firm bitterness on the fore that rises towards the finish, moderate diacetyl slick and sweetness, and light to medium light body. A bland cereal palate and toast are evident as well. Better dark lagers exist, and this one is riddled with flaws. Regardless, fairly drinkable and not at all terrible from simply a flavor point of view.

Amber pour with a thin off-white head. Not much aroma, maybe a little malt and bread. Flavor is pretty much bland. No finish and it gave me a headache.

Looks like coke. Malty. Fresh. Good with chips e salsa. Hints of bread, and a tiny bit of char.

Not much of an aroma. Taste was a little sweet, yet wreaked of hay. Not especially bad for swill but nothing to write home about.

Another macro beer from mexcico. Honestly, why do they even try? This beer is below average. I had this on draft (32oz for $4). Nothing special here. Slightly better than the regular Dos Equis. Not worth drinking again. Avoid if possible.

Bottle pours amber brown with an off-white head. Another good one of the region but I still prefer Negra Modelo.

Easy-to-drink, solid amber ale. Mostly sweet caramel and malt, with just enough beer-bitter at the finish to keep it nice. Nothing big, but I’d never turn my nose up at it.

12 oz. bottle. Pours light brown, with a slight tint of red. The aroma is bread, a little roasted malts, yeast, and pine hops. The flavor is reasonably well balanced. The palate is smooth enough, but nothing special. Overall, a nice beer, but nothing great.
