Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

This one was actually a decent beer, and the best available down in mexico. -AROMA- its faint, but sweet sugary malts -APPEARANCE- I really liked this aspect of the beer, a gorgeous clear ruby red, with hints of gold -TASTE- bready and sweet, mild caramel taste -PALATE- thin mouthfeel, and lower than average carbonation, finishes with mild floral hops -BOTTOM LINE- better than the lager if youre actually looking for taste, a better than average macro so not a bad choice on vacation

On tap at señor tequila’s. Thin head. Surprisingly good and refreshing for its style. No aroma. Taste is hints of caramel and some straw.

Respectable reddish/amber color with orangish/yellow hues. Clear. Not many bubbles rising. Off white head that was non-existent and left no lacing. Some sweet smelling malt. Almost a molasses quality. A bit of breadiness. A bit of roastiness. Some miniscule fruitiness of some kind hiding in there. The taste provided a thin malt sweetness. A touch of biscuit also. Medium to thin mouthfeel. Left a little on the palate. Modest dryness. Crisp and relatively smooth. This brew, while not bad, left a little to be disired in all categories. This could be a beer to drink when not desiring anything complicated. Nothing distracting about it and it’s easily drinkable.

Aroma is very heavy on the bread with something like corn smoothness clinging on to it. Boring dark yellow appearance. Flavour is lemony, citrus, grain. Mouthfeel is okay, but there’s a strange cloying aftertaste to this one, there must be some oddball chemicals mixed in. Yet, it’s halfway decent for a mass produced beer.

Draft and bottle. This was the only beer, along with the lager served at the resort we stayed at in Mexico. Crisp and clean with a little more interest than the lager. All around decent.

Bottle Lula Lounge, Toronto Faint sweetish aroma. Light bodied with pleasant mouth feel. Sweet malt flavour. Inoffensive.

Small and thin head. Aroma consists of nuts and vegetable juice. The flavor is very clean and earthy, similar to black tea, but with almost no after taste.

When I’m in a bar and there’s nothing good on tap this is my go to import. It has a smooth finish and very good palate. One of the best beers you can get in almost any bar in the United States.
