Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Pours a pale lucid brown. Nose is standard lager with a hint of burnt sugar, tastes watery and lagery.

Indeed amber, with a small but nice looking head... nice fresh aroma of floral hops... refreshing prickly texture, with an immediate salty taste that lasts long after

Appearance: light amber, with a medium head that disappeared. Aroma: lightly toasted malts, with a whisp of crisp hops. Taste: lagery--some sweetish grains with refreshingly light and tart hops. Finish: short, clean and crisp. Notes: Not a bad lager. Would go fine with a plate of tacquitos.

I love it. I’m a junior apprentice at best at tasting beers but with about 100 different kinds under my belt this is about my second favorite beer to enjoy.

Tastes like Mexican beer. Thin, corny, a bit skunky, and not much else. Colder is better.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a white head that dissipated quite quickly to the edges. Aroma had sweet grains present with some hay and a bit of grass. Flavor was well balanced with sweet grains, bread, hay and grass all present. I actually find this very drinkable.

Ordered this at a mexican restaurant because of all the filth Mexican beers this is the most tolerable. Amber color true to its name with a grain and corn aroma. Taste is a bit of corn and malt but also some bitterness. Not bad in a pinch

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2010 Bottle- Pours a clear amber color with a nice head that slowly faded to lacing. Had a faint malt aroma with a hint of sweetness. Has a light sweetness that is crisp with a slightly bitter finish. Had a nice texture that is smooth and goes down easy. This is a decent beer on its own without any fruit wedge needed. Goes best with Mexican dishes
