COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Nice cola brown color with beige head. Nutty aroma and flavor that is ruined by horrible metallic aroma and taste. Little malt. Some bitterness at the end but overall little hops are detected. This is a confused beer that doesn’t satisfy anything. Very disappointing.

33cl bottle poured into a pilsner glass. Amber with two fingers tan head. Aroma is malty with hops in the background. Very thin with little carbonation. This beer tastes like water with the slightest hint of bitterness. Very little flavor. Disappointing.

I’m not quite sure what this beer is attempting to accomplish here. This does not replace an ale or a lager. The taste is mildly like a nutty resin. Pours a brownish amber color with a small brownish white head.

325ml bottle, Mexico. Deep amber red appearance, rapidly fading head. Aroma is sweet with hints of caramel and malt, not very complex but rather strong for a dark lager. Taste is kind of bitter but a little sweetness appears at first. Does not change too much as the beer warms up to room temp. Palate is pretty pedestrian, no real aftertaste. Not bad, definitely better than XX Lager.

12 oz. amber pour from bottle at Plano Tortilla Factory, in Plano, TX. Nothing distinguishing in aroma or taste, but at the same time, displayed some malty character that made in go o.k. with my breakfast burritos. Better than expected.
