2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Jordiam (72) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 9, 2009
Bottle at the LCBO - The World’s most intersting man has failed me. This beer.... is really not that good.... At least it pours decent with a nice amber colour and white head, but that’s probably the best part about it. The aroma is very faint with small grass and copper notes. The taste seems somewhat tainted with copper and hints of sweetness and bread, but too faint to give it a great taste. It’s dry and bitter, but not that enjoyable.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Papillon (280) - Sudbury, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 7, 2009
355 mL Bottle. Copper body with a thin short-lived bubbly head. Aroma is sweet, a combination of sweet malt, sweet corn, a faint note of melon, a subtle syrupiness to it, and an innuendo of very fresh fish. Light malt flavor stands out enough to say: "this is beer, not some kind of swill". A bit of hops come through in the aftertaste followed by a very mildly skunky finish -in a way it reminds me of Molson Canadian. Brownie points for not being too offensive.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 gkost (1307) - Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 7, 2009
On tap. Amber brown color, no head. Nose is sweet malt and some fruitiness. Flavor is a clean malty flavor, some mild fruit and grains. Refreshing beer. Glad that they are keeping the Vienna Lager alive.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 Duhast500 (362) - Exile In Medford, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 3, 2009
Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a pint glass.
The color is a light amber/gold with a slight white head. No lacing.
The smell is a bit sweet with a grain flavor and some dry fruit feel.
The taste is a light malt feel, is a bit sweet some grainy flavor. Not a lot here to get excited about.
The feel of this beer is light, crisp and refreshing and is light in ABV so it makes for a good session beer. This is a fairly easy drinking beer and is a better beer for hot days, goes well with steak.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 beernovice39 (1776) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 28, 2009
I remember a time......when this was it! That time has passed. Still good with some tacos if Modelo is unavailable at your local burrito bar.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Barreras (368) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - JUL 26, 2009
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2009 Pours a caramel iced tea color with minimal head. Flavor is quite light but very drinkable. Taste very bubbly and carbonated. A good amber beer for drinking under the hot sun but not a beer I would go out of my way to drink.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 GT2 (3440) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 26, 2009
On tap. Pours like ice tea with no head and leaves no lacing. Aroma is very light/watery with a bit of soy sauce, caramel. Taste is watery, sweet tea-like, with caramel malt, and lemon zest. Seltzer water on the palate. Very poor.
