COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

On tap in a shaker. Pours amber/copper with a thick, off-white head. Aroma of bread and cereal malts, lightly toasted, and some light hops. Nothing really stands out, and it has a hint of tin to it. Average texture. Nothing great here.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Pint. Appearance: Clear amber with thin head and minimal lacing. Aroma: Very mild - light caramel, bread and spicy hops. Taste: Caramel and bread-like malts in the forefront, with a twinge of spicy hops at the end. Palate: Moderately high carbonation, medium body, somewhat spritzy. Overall: While nothing spectacular, this has to be one of the best mainstream lagers around. Always good with standard fare and Mexican food.

Not my favorite, but very close. Very available on tap in Phoenix bars for those who like a dark beer. Mexican beers are some of the best in the world, thanks to German immigrants to the country.

Draft at restaurant. I prefer this to the dos equis lager. Had some body and taste and is reminiscent of an Octoberfest. Worked decent with bar food. Nothing memorable but I didn’t find anything offputting.

smells of malt and big coppery vats. Tastes like big coppery vats. Looks like the contents of a coppery vat. All in all, pretty decent for your average mexican beer, as far as Moctezuma’s concerned.

My Mom gave me a six of this for part of my birthday present. I had to tell her I liked it. ( guess she never got the hint that I talk about German beer all the time) Good thing she does not know what the internet is. Aroma of malt and cereal with vague caramel flavoring. Has a smooth finish. Typical amber lager, nothing special here. I see JB’s wife likes this. I’ll save one for her.

Bottle in Mexico City. Dark amber colour. Watery. Really not much character for a dark beer. Disappointing.
