yarry (351), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Oct 26, 2007 355ml 4.6% a/v
Pours coppery brown, surprisingly dark. Very thin tan head. The nose is malt, nuts, and honey/maple syrup. The taste is roasted malt, a bit of chocolate, and ends with a nice mellow aftertaste. Not fantastic but at least a little better then its current rating reflects.
sneezey (103), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA Sep 3, 2008 Very nice reddish color, but a slightly yeasty off smell. Not typically watery but something just a bit off in the yeasty taste. Somewhat dry and malty in the finish. Not all that bad even if a smaller macro, but also not all that good. JuStuka (143), , Mexico Sep 1, 2008 Nothing special in this beer, just the classic lager flavor, not bad not good. BlockBrew (82), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA Aug 30, 2008 Dark copper red with almost no lasting head. A little more body than the Dos Equis Special Lagerr, but still nothing substantial. Minimal flavor with slight malt and alcohol finish. Better than some of the other Mexican macros. Palidor19 (1279), Brandon, Florida, USA Aug 28, 2008 this beer has got some flavors of Agave like flavor but t also has some unpleasant white wine like flavor. not the best. kflorence (86), San Diego, California, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle, poured a dark, caramel-amber color. Smelled of malts, grains and hops. The taste was sweet and heavily dominated by a malt and caramel flavor; very light on the tongue and not much complexity. Finishes crisp and slightly bitter but has a nice aftertaste. Not bad, but not outstanding either.
