COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dos Equis Special Lager is a refreshing, crisp, golden, lager style beer imported from Mexico. Made with roasted malts, choice hops, a unique strain of yeast and purified water, this distinctive brew is known simply as “Lager” in its homeland.

"Do Not Introduce Glass Into Pool Area" was what the sign said. "Bring Cans Of Dos Equis With Limes" is how I interpreted the sign. Weird can that is vertically lined in the aluminum. Great referesher as the temperature rose. Not much different than the dozen or so others!

For some reason in my younger beer-drinking days I used to love this beer. It was my favorite. Now either I’ve changed or the beer has changed (it could be actually that the beer has changed), but it is now just so-so. Not too bad though, I still drink it. It seems as if after I started appreciating it so much that it started catching on in a big way here in the U.S. I wouldn’t be surprised if the company took advantage of it’s new-found volume and decided to cut costs and produce a lesser beer.

Bottle. Not much of a taste in this one, but it was quite drinkable. One of the better Mexican beers.
