Dos Equis Special Lager is a refreshing, crisp, golden, lager style beer imported from Mexico. Made with roasted malts, choice hops, a unique strain of yeast and purified water, this distinctive brew is known simply as “Lager” in its homeland.

Not bad but not great... much better than corona, but that isn’t saying much... light and crisp, has nice hoppy flavor and is quite refreshing. nice dry finish... this isn’t that bad really, it’s just your regular lager. good for a grocery store brand

Not the worst beer in the world but definitely no where near the best. I would definitely choose it over Budweiser or MGD.

Skunky and thin. Hard to finish. Flavor slight and hidden behind the ruinous skunkiosity.

One of the few beers that doesn’t leave my mouth feeling dry afterwards. Good taste, pretty smooth without being _too_ thin.

Good taste, goes well with Mexican food. Like for the hot summer days.

Very, very average. Somewhat thin.

light and watered down. Nothing terribly bad about this beer, however there is nothing good about it either. Very low hop aroma and taste, with not head. Tastes like a bud but not quite as offensive. Its not worth the money for a sixer.

Mexicans can probably do better than this. Dos Equis is falling short on this one in competing with most other american standards. No wonder why people throw limes into this stuff. **Note:I am rating a draft version here. But I have tasted the bottled and do not deam it necessary to rate it separately.

This is the draft version of Dos Equis Lager: I was thoroughly not impressed with this beer. It hinted of the rice in Budweiser. On top of that (or rather not on top of it), it didn’t have a head and the lacing was minimal. One of the plus points was that it had a citrus nose to it, the sole reason I kept the flavor at 4. Other than that it tasted watered down. Perhaps they should invent a new Category called ’Mexican Standard’. The only way to finish this was to add a lime.
