Dos Equis Special Lager is a refreshing, crisp, golden, lager style beer imported from Mexico. Made with roasted malts, choice hops, a unique strain of yeast and purified water, this distinctive brew is known simply as “Lager” in its homeland.

Grassy, slight skunked aroma. Light airy taste. A crisp yet uneventful pale lager.

On tap at Taco Boy folly beach. Meh. Pours pale yellow. No head, lots of bubbles. Tastes like a light lager. Somewhat crisp. Really malty. Generally lacking much in terms of interest or flavor. Couple sips was enough.

I’m probably going to rate this beer higher than most. I learned to drink this beer in New Mexico along with Mexican food. Ice cold, with a lime along with some spicy chips and salsa, Fajita’s, Carne Asada, is where this beer shines. It is light, creamy, fizzy for a reason. Leaves the palate to enjoy the flavors of good mexican food.

Pours a pale yellow color with minimal lacing and no head retention. Smells of corn and malt. Nothing special at all. A decent beer for the beach, but nothing I’d rave about.

Cerveja pilsen, mas não é das melhores pilsen, pois não tem nada demais. Não vale tomar novamente não. Tomei no MSC Lírica. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A corona knockoff that tastes just slightly dirtier. Pours a clear yellow. Fizzy and thin. Corn. Decent on a hot day.

Aroma fraco e com cereal tipo milho. Sabor fraco, com bem pouco lúpulo e gosto metálico.

Tasted on 11/30/14 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased in a mixed sixer at the grocery store. Pours clear pale golden with a thick white head that quickly recedes to average lace. The nose is corny malt, pretty typical mass produced pale lager, with a touch of creamy wheat and just a bit of grassy green. The flavor is maybe a touch more green grass, but even less malt, really not giving me much. The body is light with fizzy soda carbonation and not much of a finish to speak of.

Multiple bottles at Cori and Greg’s. Clear yellow pour with a big white head. Bready, grainy, limey, slightly doughy aroma. Taste is much the same - cereal, twangy, slightly grassy and lime. Light body with high carbonation. Not terrible.

Draft at Mad Mex. Pale gold pour, thin white head, mild hops, corn in the nose and taste. Nothing going on here. A Mexican Coors.
