Bottle thx to benzai. Pale, clear yellow colour with a small white head. Smells corn, malts and rice. Tastes rice, cheap, bad, cardboard. Watery and thin.

Clear golden colour with small collapsing frothy white head. Corn aroma, some hay. Monotonous slightly sweet taste, tends toward a hop note on the edge to soapiness. Nothing displeasing in it, but totally boring.

Bottle. Pours a light golden body with pearly carbonation despite having virtually no head. Nose is sweet grainy malts, maize and very little else. Taste is sweet maize tones, hints of vegetables. Very little bitterness, only enough to (barely) balance out the sweet corn-ish malt notes. A bit watery, with a surprisingly oily palate but nevertheless an easy drinker like its supposed to. Not too horrible for a pale lager of this format, and certainly no worse than it’s "countrymen" Corona or Sol, which taste even less. Still, pretty damn boring.

Es agua, sin aroma ni sabor ni cuerpo. Por el color parece que puede tener sabor pero.... Muy liviana y suave como son las cervezas rubias industriales mexicanas.

12oz bottle. Clear pale yellow color, lots of big bubbles on the side of the glass. Thin white bubbly head, fading to minimal. Sharp, rough carbonation prevents it from being very drinkable, as does the sort of chalky texture. The beer does have a special something to it that differentiates it from macro-american-lagers, but by no means justifies the import premium. The funk is a little... more mexican? There might be a light spice in there, and some fruity lemon notes. Maybe a hint of smokiness. Taste is a little sour zest, nothing else really. I don’t always drink beer... Who am I kidding, I drink beer all the time, I love beer. But this is hopefully the last time I’ll have a dos equis. I guess that marketing campaign makes some sense - this is a beer for people who don’t love beer (but want to hold something that proves how interesting they are, apparently)
