COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
New Limited Release from East Ninth Brewing Co, Doss Blockos Dark Lager 500ml now available.

" Get your hands on one whenever you can, wherever you can, our limited brews means there’s not much to go around ( 10,000 bottles in fact ) ... so most won’t see the light of day...

Doss Blockos Dark Lager has been brewed with the idea of togetherness and the quality of patience, aligning the five malts for complexities we’re not sure we need. Using five different malts and an extended maturation process, it delivers just the right balance between complexity and sessionability.

At 4.6% ABV you’ll pick up pronounced tones of roasted coffee and dark chocolate, and a little burnt caramel as the bottom of your glass approaches. "

Easy going beer. Maybe a hint of sour among the fruit (fig?). Pleasant all the way. Fruit early with great mouthfeel en route to splash if bitter at end. Five malts provide great base. Yum. 500ml. 4.6%. 1.8std drinks. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - pours black with big tan head. Cereal, chocolate, roast malt and a hint of liquorice. Very very little bitterness, definite caramel malt in the finish. Mouthfeel is thin.

500ml bottle from Archive. Exceeded expectations which were pretty low. Deep brown colour with a decent head and aroma. Malty flavour is quite good.

Poured an opaque black colour with a three- to four-finger light tan head that collapsed fairly fast to a 5mm bubbly head that laced poorly. Aroma faintly of sweet caramel and sweet malt. Taste firstly of roasted grain followed by sweetness and dryness and not bitter. Medium body. Sweet, light, clean, smooth with a dry finish. Quite nice.
